Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of www.walkerbusiness.com (the "site"), operated by Walker Business Machines. By using the site, submitting an enquiry, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About the site

The site describes our showroom, our product ranges and our services, including office products, printing, commercial and residential furniture, home decor, and our bridal registry. It is an information and enquiry site: it does not take payment and it is not an online store.

We work to keep the site accurate, but product availability, specifications, lead times and prices change, and some items are shown as examples of what we can source rather than as stock we hold. Nothing on the site is a binding offer. Please confirm anything that matters to you with us by phone, by email, or in the showroom before you rely on it.

Enquiries and orders

When you send an enquiry through the site, you are asking us to get in touch. It is not an order and it does not reserve stock or a price. An order exists once we have confirmed the item, the price and the timing with you directly.

Please give us accurate contact details, and only submit someone else's details if you are authorised to do so.

Text messaging (SMS) program

Our enquiry form offers two separate, optional text message consents, neither of which is checked by default and neither of which is required to submit the form. The first is consent to messages about your enquiry: answers to your question, confirmation that an order is ready for collection, and arranging a delivery time. The second is consent to marketing and promotional messages, such as occasional offers on our products. Agreeing to one does not opt you in to the other.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, and you can reply HELP for help or contact us using the details below. We will confirm your opt-out and will not send further marketing texts to that number.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers we use to deliver the messages on our behalf.

You must be at least 18 years old to opt in to our text messages, and you confirm that the mobile number you give us is your own or that you are authorised to use it. If you change or give up that number, please tell us so we do not message its next owner.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all mobile devices or carriers may be supported.

Acceptable use

Please use the site lawfully and reasonably. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems, submit automated or bulk enquiries, upload anything harmful, scrape the site for commercial purposes, or use the site in any way that interferes with other people's use of it.

Our content

The content on this site, including text, photographs, layout and the Walker Business Machines name and marks, belongs to us or to the people we licence it from, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view, print and share pages for your own personal or internal business use. Please ask us before republishing or reproducing content commercially.

Product names, brands and logos belonging to the manufacturers we stock remain the property of their owners and are used to describe those products.

Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites we do not control, for example a manufacturer's page or a mapping service. We provide those links for convenience and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and we do not warrant that the information on it is complete or current. Any warranties that apply to goods we sell are provided separately at the point of sale, by us or by the manufacturer, and are not affected by this section.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the courts serving Covington County, Alabama will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
